Joanna Szymańska joined ARTICLE 19 in 2016, where she focuses on issues related to freedom of speech in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia – including media freedom, civil space, and digital rights. She is an experienced project officer, trainer, and researcher in the field of freedom of speech. Currently serving as Acting Director of ARTICLE 19 Europe office.
