Simone Benazzo

Simone is a PhD student in political science and a teaching assistant at the Center for the Study of Politics (CEVIPOL) at the ULB. His research deals with journalistic resistance in the autocratising regimes of the EU and candidate countries. Before moving to Belgium, he worked as a freelance journalist for four years, mainly covering the Western Balkans and Central Europe. He is a fellow of the Media and Journalism Research Centre (MJRC).
